Contemporary art, a pocket of Collins Park and time to look a little longer.
The plan
The Bass makes a manageable museum afternoon in the Collins Park neighborhood. Start with the current exhibitions, then leave time for the setting around the museum rather than treating the galleries as a box to tick. The program changes, so check the exhibition listing before deciding which works you want to see. Saturday visitors can join the 2pm highlights tour, included with museum admission.
Tickets and free entry
General admission is $15. Seniors 65+, college students with ID and visitors ages 7–18 pay $8; children six and under enter free. Miami Beach residents and city employees qualify for free entry with proof. SNAP EBT cardholders can bring up to four visitors per card free through Museums for All.
Making it work
The museum opens Wednesday through Sunday, noon–5pm. Walk-ins are welcome; online admission does not currently require a timed reservation. A free digital guide is available through Bloomberg Connects. The café and shop keep museum hours.
Before you go
Bring the identification needed for your admission offer. Pair the museum with the nearby library or a walk through Collins Park.
