Shaded play areas, open space and a neighborhood-side change of scenery.
The plan
Normandy Isle Park provides a North Beach family outing away from the beachfront strip. The regular park has shaded playgrounds, picnic seating and sports areas, so there is a free visit to enjoy even when a pool session is not part of your plan. If the aquatic area is the main reason you are coming, check its exact opening, admission and any program restrictions before leaving. Park opening and swimming access are different things.
Play and picnic facilities
The city lists playground areas for ages 2–5 and 5–12, a covered gazebo, picnic tables, benches, three full basketball courts and an open field. Public restrooms sit beside the facility, with water fountains and accessible areas. Perimeter parking and a metered public lot are subject to local rules.
Pool and water play
The pool complex includes a water-play area, but admission fees may apply and aquatic hours differ from the park’s sunrise–sunset schedule. Pavilion reservations, classes and booked sports activities are separate. Call the facility if you need certainty about availability.
Before you go
Make the playground your guaranteed starting point and treat swimming as the part to confirm, rather than promising children automatic pool access.
