Beatriz Monteavaro revisits her family’s first years in the United States through paintings and sculptures informed by childhood photographs.
The plan
Beatriz Monteavaro revisits her family’s first years in the United States through paintings and sculptures informed by childhood photographs. North Beach was their first home after leaving Cuba, making the window installation especially connected to the neighborhood around it. Family gatherings, birthdays and ordinary days appear through the fragmented perspective of early memory. This is a specific Oolite exhibition at the Walgreens windows on 74th Street and Collins Avenue. Approach it as a quiet local-history and art stop during a walk, with time to notice how personal recollection reshapes familiar streets and domestic scenes.
Exhibition dates
On view October 7, 2026–January 10, 2027. This guide shows the remaining dates from November 4.
What to look for
A street-facing window installation at the stated Walgreens intersection. This is a different location from the Lincoln Road gallery.
