The plan
A short path through the hammock opens onto Biscayne Bay and Ralph Middleton Munroe’s 1891 home. The grounds work as a simple, inexpensive outing on their own; access inside the historic house is by guided tour only. Published house tours are at 10am, 11:30am, 1pm and 2:30pm. The park is closed Tuesday, Wednesday, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day, so it is not an every-day fallback.

Entry is pedestrian or bicycle only. Children five and younger enter free; park admission and house-tour fees are separate.
