The plan
Abstract Citizen headlines a free North Beach Social with a sound that connects modern jazz and global influences. Aaron Lebos, Marty Quinn, Vania Junco and Lucas Apostoleris form the announced ensemble, with Black Nimbus opening. The evening also includes creative activations, giving you reasons to arrive early and explore rather than simply waiting for the band. It is an accessible entry into the neighborhood’s live-music scene.
Before you go
Doors are at 7pm for a 7:30pm show. Complete the free RSVP through the official listing. Announced extras include poetry, Raw Figs figure drawing, a photo tent and Japanese Snacks; check the final event update for activation details.
Getting there & the venue
The Bandshell is an open-air venue under a canopy, so dress for the evening rather than for an air-conditioned theater. Its municipal lot is across Collins Avenue at 73rd Street and costs $2 an hour. Outside food and drinks are not allowed; there is a water refill station inside. Allow extra time for parking and ticket scanning, especially if you want to be settled before the opening performance.
Before you go
Keep purchases separate from the admission budget: free entry does not make everything sold onsite free.
